Vancasso
is a name I created for myself, Evangeline Logan,
to brand my work and the common characteristics that are found throughout
it. This name holds the philosophy, style and passion of my work.
I believe that light is a powerful element that captures a moment in a space,
area or object.
It reveals the elements that obstruct its rays from spreading forth, further
displaying a strong moment that plays with reflection, shadow, color, and
contrast. |

I
started my collection of photographs in 2005 while going through school
and completing internships to accompany it. During the three years, I studied
abroad in Europe. Prior to this, I worked in Hawaii and Canada and as a
California resident, I chose to study architecture in Chicago. I grew up
in the bay area close to family members, but my fasination in other cultures,
styles of architecture, terrain, vegetation, or landscape enhanced my desire
to travel and explore the world. |
